Hot Summer Days!!!

This summer in Grand Canyon has for the most part been mild, but the last two weeks have been scorchers. We de-rigged last week on lake Mead in 121 degrees!

The rains have been off and on, but the river has finally turned muddy. Here is a shot of a dry fall I have always wanted to see flash, and last week when we left Havasu the heavens opened up and everything started to flash.

I can't believe how fast the summer is going by. I only have 2 trips left.

It was getting to hot in the valley to enjoy the outdoors so we decided to head to higher grounds for a night out. It was perfect for our little ones first night under the stars.

Happy Birthday ULY!!!

The 4th of July has always been one of my favorite holidays and Uly's birthday makes it even better...what a great day to be born.

Hiking at Sundance!

We went up to Sundance to do some hiking.  

We tried to hike to Stuart Falls, but ended up getting rained out right 

before we got there.  We don't have pictures of the rain because it was coming down so hard.

Road trip

We decided that it was time to see how well Elias travels and went on a Road trip...he was such a good sport
We visited Lee's Ferry with dad who dipped his toes in the mighty colorado...
 we checked out Dad's office luckily it wasn't too hot...
 we went to Grandma and Grandpa Potter's house... Elias is their 4th great grandchild
 and we went to vegas to spend some time with Uncle Benny and Aunt Rebekah....it was fun to see them.
